The Property Tax Division will hold a Tax Sale on Wednesday, June 15, 2011
beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The sale will take place online at
www.jpso.com. This sale is authorized by and conducted in accordance with LA
Revised Statute 47:21:53.
Tax lien certificates for immovable properties with delinquent taxes or other
liens due Jefferson Parish will be auctioned to the successful bidder. This sale
will involve property that has delinquencies due for a single year or multiple
years. Each property will be sold for the total amount due regardless of whether
the amount due is for a single year or multiple years. All property owners of
the properties listed for sale have been notified by certified mail or
represented by a court-appointed curator. Each property has been advertised
twice in the New Orleans City Business within thirty (30) days prior to the
sale.
Participating bidders must register for the tax sale prior to the close of
business on Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Registration must be completed online. Below
are links to the registration form, terms and conditions of the sale, and
frequently asked questions. Successful bidders must remit the total amount of
back taxes, interest, and costs due by 4:00 pm Monday, June 20, 2011. Payment
methods are e-check, certified funds, or cash. Any property not sold at the Tax
Sale is immediately adjudicated to the Parish. Please refer to our
