As the investigation into this morning's murder in Metairie continues, our homicide investigators have issued an arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder on Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas, H/M, 09/21/1970. Monterroso-Navas is wanted in connection with the death of his 24 year-old girlfriend Heidi Monroy who was found dead in her apartment in Metairie on Sunday, July 13, 2014.

Investigators believe Monterroso-Navas, who is the boyfriend the deceased victim, fled the scene with three of his children. They are identified as follows:

Jessica Nicolle Monterroso H/F 12 Years-old

Yojan Manuel Monterroso-Flores H/M 4 Years-old

Jafet Abigaitl Monterroso-Monroy H/M 2 years-old

The two children who requested assistance from the neighbor, and remained on the scene, are identified as:

Victor Manuel Monterroso-Monroy H/M 8 Years-old

Marlin Jouahny Monterroso-Monroy H/M 5 Years-old

We are currently working with LSP on a possible Amber Alert for the three children we believe are traveling with their father, Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas.

Investigators have also been unable to determine by what means Monterroso-Navas fled the scene or what type of vehicle he may be in now.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Monterroso-Navas and/or his children are asked to call 911 or CRIMESTOPPERS.
