On Friday, February, 1, 2013, our officers responded to an aggravated burglary at 6008 Ricky Street in Metairie. During this incident a 27 year-old white female of that same address answered a knock at her door, an upon doing so, was confronted by a group of individuals, some who were armed forcing their way into her home. The suspects were demanding money and drugs. A second victim, 27 year-old white male returned home while the suspects were rummaging through his residence.

As the responding officers from the Fourth District were arriving on the scene, the suspects became alarmed, at which time one of the suspects fired several shots at the male victim before they all ran from the residence. Matherne was transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Within minutes of their arrival, our officers apprehended Jasmin Reyes, H/F, 32, of 3317 Loyola Drive in Kenner, Danell James, B/M, 27, of 912 N. Prieur Street in New Orleans and James Davis, B/M, 26, of 2500 Summer Set Drive in New Orleans. Two additional suspects, identified as Jonathan Lopez, H/M, 26, of 3317 Loyola Drive in Kenner and Carnell Robinson, B/M, 25, of 3000 Gentilly Blvd in New Orleans managed to escape.

Danell James was booked with Aggravated Burglary, Possession of Stolen Things and Theft
James Davis was booked with Aggravated Burglary

Burglary Detective George Honses issued Aggravated Burglary arrest warrants for Jonathan Lopez and Carnell Robinson

SPECIAL NOTE: Jonathan Lopez was arrested on 2/5/13 in Metairie. He was booked with Aggravated Burglary. Carnell Robinson remains at large.
