This morning, around 8:52 AM, Police on Campus Detective Christopher Ritter, who is assigned to Bonnabel High School requested EMS for a student at the school who was bleeding from the face. Detective Ritter spoke with the female victim, identified only as a 14 year-old from Kenner who claimed she was stabbed in the face by another student while walking in the hallway of the school. The victim, who sustained a laceration to the lower part of her face was transported to Ochsner Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
Detective Ritter further learned the victim and the suspect, a 15 year-old female student at the school have been having issues for quite some time. The suspect claimed she was constantly being bullied by the victim and was tired of it. During the course of her actions this morning, the suspect produced an eyebrow razor and cut the victim in the face.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked with one count of Aggravated Battery.
