The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office and the Harahan Police Department are seeking the public's help in identifying a black male suspect wanted in connection a string of burglaries and attempted burglaries to several Subway sandwich shops and the theft of a cash register from a Shell service station. The crimes occurred between March 14 and May 20, 2018.
Multiple images of the suspect and his vehicle have been recovered from video surveillance. He is believed to be operating a dark-colored Chevrolet Impala.
In each of the burglaries and attempted burglaries, the suspect smashed a window before he either attempted to enter or entered the store in order to steal the entire register or the cash register drawer. However, on April 24th, the same suspect entered a Shell service station in Harahan during business hours and asked the clerk for a pack of cigarettes. When the clerk turned her back to the counter, the suspect ran off with the cash register.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity is asked to contact Crimestoppers or call Sergeant David Deroche of the JPSO Burglary Section at 504-364-5300.
