The JPSO purchases materials, goods and supplies from various vendors throughout
the year for operations.
Occasionally, we also construct or renovate public facilities. Under State Law, some of these goods
and supplies or construction projects must be purchased via the Louisiana Public
Bid Law (LRS 38:2211).
All public bids are handled by the Purchasing Section of the JPSO, which is
located on the 4th floor of the Westbank
Administration
Building, 1233 Westbank Expressway,
Harvey,
LA 70058. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm,
Monday through Friday, except for holidays.
You can also reach this office by phoning 504-363-5742. Please call us or write us to obtain
a copy of the Instructions to Bidders along with the Bid Proposal, which
includes the specifications and requirements of the bid.
Any request for public bid is also advertised in the local newspaper, currently
either the New Orleans City Business or the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Please see the Public Notices

Electronic Bid Submittals
In accordance with LRS 38:2212.1(4)(a), the JPSO offers bidders the ability to
respond to bids electronically. We
have contracted with a third-party vendor to provide this service. Please note that to participate in
the electronic submittal of bids, our vendor requires that you register with
them and pay a one-time registration fee.
